I had the wonderful opportunity of continuing my internship at The Knot publication during the summer of 2017. Not only did I learn more and gain even more experience, but I was given more responsibility in terms of what I was able to work on. I worked on the layout designs for these pages. Included in this was my first ever feature story entitles "Earthly Elegance."
I landed my dream internship at The Knot Magazine January of 2017. I had the opportunity of not only creating my own work that was published in the magazine- but I learned more than I could ever have hoped for. This experience truly strengthened my passion for print design. I attended photoshoots, learned all about color correcting, but most importantly I learned how to work in a professional environment. These two pages were some of my first responsibilities at this internship, that were featured in the summer 2017 issue. My favorite page is the 15 minutes with page because creating a new "15 minutes with" logo was one of my first assignments as an intern. Check out my blog where I documented my entire experience at The Knot idaleatkm.tumblr.com
Leila New York is a fictional clothing company that uses a system of words instead of numbers for sizing. This is just a small sample of the website, as well as a handmade tape measure I created that has no numbers on it. Each bar of color represents a different word [or size] to distinguish which size one would be at Leila New York.
